Is it really that time of year already? When it comes to styling shirts through the cooler months it can be slightly tricky to know what to wear, as you need to think about layering. Here is my guide on how to style our shirts through the Autumn.
I mostly like to wear my Rebel Waite shirts under a blazer or a statement coat. However, under knitwear also looks great, especially with our shirts that have a statement cuff or collar poking out.
Today, I have gone for this smart casual look as I have a lunch with friends (Sunday roast here I come) but you could easily style this look and wear this shirt for brunch, casual dining or a last minute outing for drinks. Our shirts are so versatile I love to style them in LOADS of different ways. That’s what is so great about a Rebel Waite shirt; they will work themselves into your wardrobe with zero effort.
For anyone that knows me, you will rarely see me wear anything but a pair of skinny jeans, a pair of statement heels (or flats for those days you need to get around town in a hurry) and a Rebel Waite shirt….. of course!
The sun is STILL shining here in London, which I am quite happy about, as I am a HARDCORE summer fan. Nevertheless, Autumn is well and truly on its way and is the season for perfecting the art of layering.
I love to layer and thinking like a true Londoner (wait, do I call myself a Londoner? Maybe I do, I’ve never really thought about it until now. I have been living in London for 10 years so that’s got to count for something right?) Anyway…. If you live in London you know how to layer your outfits. SO I love to layer mine and I will always have a scarf or jacket or the necessary umbrella shoved in my bag.
These are three of my favourite wardrobe pieces that are perfect for this trans-seasonal weather we have been having in London. I have styled our Adelaide shirt with an oversized blazer, which I have had for years. It’s actually vintage from the 80’s, shoulder pads and all. I also think its really fun to dress a more casual look with a pair of statement heels and I love a pop of colour so these red Charlotte Olympia heels are my go to at the moment. The key to a casual look is a statement accessory.
Thanks for taking the time to read. Happy Sunday! 🙂
